Operation Flashpoint: Red River

The game is set in 2013 when Civil War breaks out in Tajikistan, the US Marines are sent in to deal with it, neighbouring county the Peoples Republic of China becomes suspicious of the U.S Marines activities in Tajikistan and order them to leave, when the Marines refuse, the world’s next flashpoint erupts. Operation Flashpoint Red River is a direct sequel to Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising.

The game is a tactical shooter like Dragon Rising. As in many other shooter games the player will be able to choose their class, such as rifleman, grenadier, scout and automatic rifleman. While playing the player will gain experience which unlocks perks and various weapon attachments. The player has the choice of playing the game cooperatively over the internet, if single player is chosen then the player is able to give command to the AI if they choose to play alone.

The developers have promised that the campaign will take realism to the next level, coupled with the really macho voice acting and good graphics it is sure to make this game a winner as a blend between hyper-realistic military simulator and fast paced action game, however the game does lack that one aspect that everybody enjoys and that is a competitive multi player mode, the AI seems just a tad weak as well, but I think it is a great game so far.
