It's finally over and Need for Speed World

In a matter that does not concern me, Osama bin Laden is finally dead, or is he?

So I have been  playing NFS World once in a while and I think the fact that it is free is really nice. But what about the actual game play you may ask?

Well I can't answer that because I haven't played it that much, in game I remain level 4 although I have had an account since it was released. The World is similar to the worlds in Most Wanted and Carbon, they are joined together. The game also features a full day and night cycle.

An in-game screen shot of NFS World

You are able to customise the look of your car and its performance, however the NOS system has changed it does not automatically recharge when it is used. The game is constantly updated allowing the devs to add content and iron out bugs.

A list of cars in the game so far:
Tier 1 Cars (Total 9):
1971 Dodge Challenger R/T
1969 Dodge Charger R/T
2007 Mazda Mazdaspeed3
2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT
1992 Nissan 240SX
2000 Nissan Silvia S15
1965 Pontiac GTO
1986 Toyota Corolla AE86
2008 Volkswagen Scirocco

Tier 2 Cars (Total 17):
2009 Audi TT RS Coupe
2009 Audi S5
2008 BMW Z4 M Coupe
2008 BMW 135i Coupe
2008 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee
2009 Lexus IS-F
2006 Lotus Elise 111R
1995 Mazda RX-7
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR-Edition
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
2003 Nissan 350Z (Z33)
2009 Nissan 370Z (Z34)
1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34
2007 Porsche Cayman S
2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
1998 Toyota Supra
2005 Volkswagen Golf R32 (Mk5)

Tier 3 Cars (Total 9):
2008 Audi R8 4.2 FSi quattro
2001 BMW M3 GTR (E46)
2008 BMW M3 E92
2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06
2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10
2008 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640
2008 Nissan GT-R (R35)
2006 Porsche 911 Turbo (997 TT)

Just as in NFS Carbon the tier system applies, you can't expect to race against a 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 with a 1986 Toyota Corolla AE86, because you simply won't win.

Personally I like it based on the fact that the game is free, however I don't have any complaints either, it is a cool racing MMO.

  5. Actually haven't played NFS World. Think its worth the DL? I heard it's all micro-trans now.

Also I have a analysis on Osama Bin Laden's death if you're so inclined.

  6. I played NFS World a lil bit and it was fun, but there are so many other racing games out there that after a while you just kinda let it die off. I'm looking forward to reading more post like this though!

  8. NFSW and Osama; equally important matters, I think.

  9. I played it some time ago, and being multiplayer makes it more desirable. But it had something that didn't convince me at all
